The Department is meant by a doctor, midwifes and nursing assistants. Most of the services done are antenatal and postnatal services including immunization, nutrition, adolescent health services, cancer screening, PMTCT services and health education. One of the successes in the department is the engagement of spouses. The hospital has a shelter for pregnant women that accommodates
40 women. This is meant to keep pregnant women close to the health facility for the delivery by skilled health professionals.
